Does Body of A Content Matter To Google?

Great content to a website is very much important as far as Google search alogrithm is concerned. The more advancements Google makes to its search engine algorithm, the better are the chances for users to get more accurate and relevant search results.

There is a lot that needs to be taken care of when you are working on a website content. For your website to rank better in google search engine, you will have to consider certain points without which you are not going to get popluar or your content is not going to reach people. Your content needs to be optimized in a way which can be easy for google to identify.

Most of the website owners have a state of mind that says ‘Heading’ is good enough for a page to rank well in google. And they keep working on headings and neglect the body and the structure of the content completely. Or maybe the structure or body of a content is given the secondary priority which shouldn’t be happening.

The header and the body of the content are equally important for a website to rank well in search engine results. People are directed in a direction where repetation of keywords and some mediocre headings will do the trick for the site. But there are a lot that people don’t really realize or may be understand which are often overlooked. And ‘body’ of the content is one such point that people are missing out.

Google’s distinguished engineer, Matt Cutts in his help video said about the importance of body in a content. In his words,

“Head might have meta description, meta tags, all that sort of stuff. If you want to put stuff in the head that’s great make sure it unique, don’t just do duplicate content, but stuff in the body makes a really big difference as well”.

“Also a lot of people get caught up in description, meta keywords, thinking about all those kinds of things, but don’t just think about the head, think about the body because the body matters as well,” Cutts added.
